Celebration
Breakthrough New York’s Celebration is a collaborative performance that students, teachers, and administrators create at the end of each summer as a kind of culminating presentation of what they’ve been working on all summer. Parents and Breakthrough partners are all invited to this special event.
When talking to some of the second year students about Celebration, one student said “Celebration is a graduation without saying goodbye.” Another student said, “Celebration is the place where we bring our best Breakthrough selves and share what we’ve been doing.”
This year’s Celebration will include spoken word poetry from our Hip-Hop/Slam Poetry elective, an exciting display of technological savvy from our Artificial Intelligence elective, an art exhibition from our Art elective, a dance performance from our Expressive Dance elective, and much more.
